Meet Sara, The Key's New Managing Associate

Jan 29, 2025

Tell us a little bit about your background before joining The Key team.

Growing up, I always dreamed of working at a fashion magazine which is what led me to study journalism and communications in college. I ultimately found that path wasn’t exactly right for me which led me to discover the wonderful world of PR. Since college, I have worked at PR agencies in New York and Boston. I’ve worked on a variety of consumer-focused clients - everything from Samsung to Trek Bicycles to Fossil Group - and love getting to discover new industries. I grew up in New England and just made the move to the West Coast at the end of 2024.

Describe your work style in five words.

Collaborative - I love a brainstorming session

Organized - Queen of lists and calendar holds

Supportive - I strive to create happy teams

Adaptable - Plans change in a heartbeat and news pops up when you least expect it

Reliable - If I tell you I’m on it, you can trust me

What are your favorite kinds of projects to tackle?

I love planning and executing events!

What’s your proudest moment at work (here or elsewhere)?

My proudest moment was getting a confirmation for a press trip in about an hour. It really goes to show that if you create strong relationships with media, they’ll get back to you.

What makes you the most excited to be at The Key?

I’m really excited to work directly with clients who are creating game-changing products and services!

Lightning Round:

Favorite office snack?
Cheez-Its

Badass role model? Susie Wolff and Laura Winter - I’m a newer F1 fan (thanks Drive to Survive!) and love seeing powerful women in the world of motorsport!

Power song? Too hard to pick just one and it changes with my mood! I love 00s indie music, middle school throwbacks but also listen to classical while working if I need to focus.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Teleportation! Now that I live further from my family that would be amazing.
