Key client Aclima is the world’s most advanced air measurement and analysis platform, pioneering a new way to map and analyze air pollution and greenhouse gases.

CEO Davida Herzl sat down with ABC7's Julian Glover to share how Aclima's air quality monitoring in West Oakland, California helped pinpoint pollution hotspots—driving real change for the community.

Aclima's hyperlocal data has already led to emission reductions and better public health strategies. Now, it's scaling statewide to empower more communities with the data they need to fight air pollution. Because what gets measured gets managed.

Powered by a network of roving and stationary sensors, Aclima provides the broadest set of pollutant measurements on the market, at unprecedented scale with block-by-block resolution. Customers across industry, government, and communities are using its groundbreaking data and analytics to reduce emissions, improve public health, and deliver clean air for all.

Silicon Valley-based Aclima, founded in 2014, developed high-accuracy mobile air quality sensors capable of mapping pollution levels down to the street.

"We proved that pollution is hyper-local, that it varies from one block to the by five to eight times," said Aclima CEO Davida Herzl.

Herzl got the idea for Aclima while she was in law school.

"I realized that the legal framework that we use to actually regulate emissions is grounded in this principle of measurement. In order to be able to regulate emissions, we need to be able to measure them," said Herzl.
