Mixhalo is a rockstar-founded (literally!) technology brand on a mission to transform the live event experience with access to better, more immersive audio. Incubus lead guitarist, Mike Einziger and his wife, globally-renowned violinist, Ann Marie Simpson-Einziger, founded Mixhalo in 2017 and the brand has since taken off.
Mixhalo was seeking a communications partner with tech PR chops, and a strong grasp of the live event biz to grow brand visibility on the heels of its Series A funding round. Coming on-board, our overarching goal was to successfully launch Mixhalo to the media and establish the rockstar-founded tech as the go-to audio solution for event venues -- from concert and festival venues, to conference venues, sports arenas, and more.
The project didn’t come without challenges: Mixhalo wasn’t in stealth mode anymore, and the technology is something you need to experience IRL to believe. But the biggest challenge that we’ll continue going up to bat against as Mixhalo deploys on an even grander scale -- is changing consumers’ mindsets and behaviors about how they experience audio at live events. We’re ready for this challenge in the next chapter with Mixhalo. Game on!
To introduce Mixhalo to the press, our first step was developing the foundational brand messaging and redefining the narrative. Among other goals, we needed to position the brand with more applications beyond its core use case of music. We executed a series of tactics in collaboration with the wonderful and talented Mixhalo team: a launch press release, a New York media tour, a carefully-crafted media list, a visionary blog post, a media one-sheeter, Crunchbase and AngelList page updates, and the list goes on.
We entered launch day with a bang and ended with the realization that our hard work had paid off. Just one week after launch, Mixhalo landed headlines across major entertainment outlets like Billboard, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter; top tech and funding outlets (TechCrunch, Fortune Term Sheet, TechMeme, etc.); prominent event trades (BizBash, Smart Meetings, etc.), and many more.
